Dear Friends of SJV:
Merry Christmas! After hard fought battles through finals, term papers and end of the year events, the guys completed the semester and headed home for Christmas break. Lest they complain, I remind them that I just finished my 35th semester in seminary!
Advent was a privileged time of prayer for all of us in the Church. But especially in seminary, where the rhythm of our life and prayer flow and interpenetrate so deeply, the season abounds in grace and peace. As you can see from the photo, our chapel is adorned for the Christmas Concerts, given in gratitude to our benefactors and families.
As we concluded the final days of 2023 and welcome 2024, I want to extend heartfelt gratitude to the many, many people who make our life possible. To all of you, whose support and prayers are indispensable, we offer our prayers at the altar this Christmas season.
